The R33 GTR was the second generation of the Skyline GTR to feature the RB26DETT hero-motor as well as Nissan’s famed ‘ATTESA E-TS’ smart all-wheel-drive system. Nissan made numerous improvements to the R33 from lessons learned on the road as well as track with the more primitive R32. Among these improvements, the R33 features improved turbochargers (allowing a higher factory boost pressure to be run), improved suspension and chassis rigidity, larger Brembo brakes, and an elongated wheelbase. These improvements allowed the R33 to excel in its role as a track-focused road car, shaving over 20 seconds off the official Nürburgring lap time set by the R32. Despite these results, the R33 fell on tough times as the Japanese economic bubble burst at the beginning of its production. As a result, production numbers stayed low with only 16668 units being built. Although the R33 was a worthy successor to its sibling, it became a rarely-seen gem during Japan's 'lost decade'.

This particular example is one of the first 600 ever produced and comes as advertised; one of the few remaining completely unmodified, low kilometer examples. It comes with Japanese paperwork verifying the car's history and mileage, dating all the way back to 1995 when it was first sold in Saitama. It passed the 'Shaken' Japanese roadworthiness inspection recently in February of 2020. This car is mechanically A1 and presents exceptionally well both internally and externally with no rust.

It would be an outstanding addition to any collector’s garage or suitable for those wanting to take a more tasteful approach to their build with a solid foundation.
